Love And Terror – A Potent Mix

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX –
Few of us will ever experience the devastating horror of living within a
war zone. Yet all of us know what it means to form a life-long,
sustaining connection with another human being.  Together, they weave a
spellbinding story ultimately affirming the possibility of peace and
reconciliation. In Love and Terror in the Middle East, 3rd Edition
(World Audience Publishers), readers walk the war-torn streets of Israel
and the West Bank with peace activist Frank Romano, and struggle with
the inevitable casualties within his personal life as it becomes caught
up in his work.

Romano’s efforts to promote understanding,
communication and cooperation in the region among Jews, Muslims,
Christians and non-believers have spanned years of bitter conflict.
Passing through a virtually endless maze of checkpoints and walls, he
has faced hatred on every side.

“I’ve been harassed and arrested
by the Palestinian police, harassed and arrested by Israeli police and
Israeli soldiers and attacked by Israeli settlers,” he says. “A peace
activist friend was recently murdered in the West Bank.”

The
aftermath of that murder in the Jenin Refugee Camp spurred him to return
and uncover the truth buried deep within the shadows of that mysterious
death. A new chapter in this 3rd Edition of Love and Terror in the
Middle East, titled “Return to Killing Fields,” documents his struggle
to accept yet another senseless death.

Romano’s search for
interfaith peace interweaves with his sometimes tragic personal life,
hints of love and desperation after a series of lovers and broken
relationships. His life sometimes resembles a personal battlefield more
than a peacemaking mission as he continues to look for love among
Muslims, Jews and Christians in the Holy Land.

“I wrote this book to share with a wide audience my belief in the possibility of peace through grassroots activities
in Israel and Palestine,” Romano explains. “A lot of the Middle East
conflict is due to misunderstanding and lack of communication among
religious groups, so I want to encourage people to begin organizing in
their own communities to help break down those barriers.”

Frank Romano earned a PhD at University of Paris I, Panthéon Sorbonne, and a JD at Golden Gate University,
Faculty of Law, San Francisco. At present, he teaches law, literature,
history and philosophy of law at the University of Paris Ouest and
practices law in France and in the United States. The author actively
organizes and participates in interfaith events involving Jews, Muslims
and Christians in Israel and Palestine. Dr. Romano has also authored a
book entitled Storm Over Morocco, published by World Audience, Inc.,
Globalization of Antitrust Policies (Mondialisation des politiques de
concurrence), published by L’Harmattan in French, Love and Terror in the
Middle East and a book of poems entitled Crossing Over. He has written
many articles published in Europe and in the United States where he is
often invited to speak at conferences.

The Bane Of Yoto: A Transmedia Experience Into A World of Cosmic Drama

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Denver, CO –
The Bane of Yoto by Joshua Viola is a transmedia experience that has it
all! This four-time award-winning epic novel is now available as a comic
App to millions of subscribers for the Nvidia Tegra platform for
Android. Published by film, video game and TV music publisher and label
FiXT, it features music by FiXT owner and cyber-rock artist Klayton of
Celldweller.

A perfect blend of science fiction and fantasy, The
Bane of Yoto’s action-packed plot keeps the adrenaline flowing at warp
speed to the very end with dynamic, fully-developed original characters
battling for their very existence in a brutal world.

Viola, art
director for Leviathan Games and former professor of Game Art and
Design, was “never impressed with comic apps I had installed.” Adding,
“In my opinion, they didn’t work. So I wanted to approach that world in a
different, revolutionary way.” And this visionary did just that with
Dreamotion™ – Viola’s name for the process of taking numerous layers of
traditionally generated 2D illustrations and artwork and bringing them
to life in a fully-responsive 3D world.
“Dreamotion was our answer
to that problem,” says Viola. “It’s all responsive to movement; when the
user rotates their device, the world comes to life. The characters on
screen animate and move as you are looking through every little detail
in 3D — and all without glasses.”

“The Tegra audience consists
of more hardcore consumers than most other markets,” says Viola.
“They’re looking for something with depth that they can really get into.
I think my comic App will allow them to do just that.”

While DC
and Marvel comic book artists Tyler Kirkham, Nick Runge, and Steve Scott
are responsible for some of the stunning visuals, the music was
provided by Klayton of Celldweller, whose work has been featured in such
films as “Iron Man 2,” “Spiderman 2,” “Ghost Rider 2,” “Mission
Impossible: Ghost Protocol” and more. Also available through FiXT is The
Bane of Yoto merchandise, with PlayStation 3 Dynamic Themes,
Sculptures, T-shirts, posters, and more.

Drawing rave reviews
for both originality and vision, The Bane of Yoto has won awards from
the 2012 New York Book Festival, the 2012 Hollywood Book Festival, and
was winner in the Science Fiction category at the 2012 Halloween Book
Festival. This is the first installment in a trilogy of science-fantasy
novels by Viola. For more information on this extraordinary novel and 3D

A Cry For Justice: A Movie Based On A True Story Of Tragedy And Triumph

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ellaville, GA –
No one likes hearing the phone ring in the middle of the night; it even
seems to have a more ominous tone – or maybe it’s just the jingling of
our nerves as we pick it up. When Jackie Carpenter uneasily answered a
call at 2:00 a.m. – she could never have imagined what she was about to
hear. This ordinary Atlanta housewife’s heart pounded in her chest as
she listened to her daughter-in-law hysterically telling her that her
son had been arrested and charged with felony murder.

Jackie’s
worst nightmare had just become a reality. She knew her son had been
plagued by copper thefts at his work site and, on the advice of a
policeman, had armed himself and hid on the property to try to catch the
thieves. They showed up that night.

A Cry for Justice by Triple
Horse Studios is the true story of Jackie’s son Jason who was falsely
accused of murder after the gun he was holding, to keep the thieves
there until police arrived, accidentally fired killing one of the men.
When Jackie hears that the prosecution is seeking a life sentence, her
world spins into turmoil; she could never have imagined the nightmare
journey ahead in trying to free her son.

Any mother will be able
to relate to the roller-coaster ride of emotions that Jackie endured
during the long months leading up to the trial, and the white-knuckle
suspense as the courtroom drama plays out – all the way to an explosive
ending!

With great stars playing the key roles, A Cry for
Justice is already gathering awards wherever it’s screened. Jackie is
played by award-winning actress Francine Locke (of True Tale Monsters
fame), and Jason is played by Drew Matthews who recently played in
Vampire Diaries. Darrel Ervin plays the role of Jackie’s supportive
husband.

The compelling story of how this loving mother’s life
went from near-perfect one day to the depths of despair the next, and
how she found the strength to bring her family through the crisis, is
expertly captured in this gripping, award-winning movie. This true story
of tragedy, trust and triumph will touch the hearts of people
everywhere and offer encouragement to anyone facing a personal crisis.

A
Cry for Justice is based on Jackie Carpenter’s two books: The Bridge:
Between Cell Block A and a Miracle is Psalm 91 and Georgia Justice: A
Journey to Faith. Watch the movie trailer at: acryforjusticemovie.com.

Jackie
Carpenter has been a featured guest on television, radio, and in
newspaper articles. For more information on this author and her
miraculous story of faith, hope and love, visit her website at: www.bridgetoamiracle.com .

Teligistics Is Like The ‘Hired Gun’ Of Telecom Deals For Top Global Enterprises

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX –
Dave Roberts, CEO of Teligistics, is known as the ‘Texas Negotiator’ for
large, publicly-traded enterprises that need an expert to fight for
them when it comes to their complex telecom and technology contracts. An
expert in his field, with one U.S. patent to his credit and another
pending, his reputation as a tough negotiator has earned him respect
both in the U.S. and around the world.

Teligistics recently
exceeded the $7 billion mark in total contract value procured on behalf
of client companies since its founding in 1997. “Our company is
undoubtedly the leading source for large enterprise procurement of
complex global voice, data and technology related contracts,” says
Roberts. Adding: “We continue to win for our clients ‘Best in Class’ contracts because we have the technology, subject domain
expertise, experience and the market data necessary to deliver
outstanding results.” And to any large enterprise, this spells success!

In
2011, Teligistics launched their patented revolutionary online
eProcurement tool Telibid™. This web-based sourcing tool allows
enterprises to publish a request for pricing/proposal (RFP) online via
customizable telecom templates for all categories of telecom services;
i.e., wireless, local, long distance, audio/web conferencing, MPLS,
Managed Services, Internet, and so much more. Telibid is the next
generation of sourcing tools for enterprise-level telecom users and also includes an optional high-tech reverse auction format.

“The
design was based on the subject matter expertise we have assembled from
sourcing thousands of large and complex global telecom contracts. Our
methodology for analyzing telecom provider rate plans, for which we were
granted a U.S. Patent in 2005, is the basis for the financial analysis
reports that are created from the RFP bidder responses, and this clearly
makes Teligistics the market leader for this type of in-depth
analysis,” says Roberts.

Large organizations cannot understand
why their telecom budget keeps increasing when the cost of technology
and communications services usually goes down over time. “This is
because the average telecom cost per employee is exploding and the rate
of telecom consumption outpaces the natural downward trend of technology
in the marketplace,” says Roberts. “The rate of increase in these costs
per employee is second only to employee healthcare.”

Dave
Roberts is an entrepreneur, sought after speaker, published author and
CEO of Teligistics – a Texas-based company that serves numerous Fortune®
1000 clients in its role as the leading provider of enterprise-level
telecom cost control solution tools in the U.S. They also provide client
solutions in TEM (Telecom Expense Management) through its proprietary
TEAM™ (telecom expense & asset management) platform for auditing,
allocating and processing of telecom invoices for client companies.
eMobilegistics™ manages thousands of mobile/wireless devices for client
companies.

Putting Country First Is Top Priority For This ‘Dirty Harry’ Style CIA Agent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Greenwich, CT –
Jeffrey Stephens’ deftly rendered new novel plunges the reader into a
deadly maelstrom of secrets, lies and shadows. Targets of Revenge
(Gallery Books) tells the story of top CIA agent
Jordan Sandor, whose quick intelligence and lethal skills charged the
pages of Stephens’ first two novels, Targets of Deception and Targets of
Opportunity. Stephens paints this secretive and dangerous world in
vivid and realistic language.
A natural born, exceptional storyteller, he has been endorsed by the #1 New York Times best-seller, Vince Flynn.

All
the bureaucratic scolding in Washington cannot stop resourceful CIA
Agent Jordan Sandor when he’s hungry for revenge. This time he’s on the
hunt for the cold-blooded sociopath known as Adina, whose indiscriminate
slaughter of innocent people, including Sandor’s close friend,
represents humankind at its worst.

Mobilizing a team of skilled
and dedicated agents to carry out this secret operation, Sandor flies in
the face of his superiors’ stern warnings — ultimately crash-landing in
the heart of the Venezuelan jungle. Armed with little more than a
combat knife and an automatic weapon, he infiltrates Adina’s camp and
discovers the ruthless terrorist is smuggling not only cocaine into the
United States but a deadly substance that could cost tens of thousands
of lives as well.

More focused than ever, Sandor embarks on his
perilous mission, moving from South America to the Middle East, then to
Russia and Mexico, eluding assassins and escaping capture in his efforts
to prevent this attack. In the end, when he uncovers the realities of
Adina’s deranged plan for a catastrophic assault on New York City,
Sandor has no choice but to risk his life to protect his country’s
safety and freedom.

Targets of Revenge leaves your heart
pounding, again reminding us in terrifying detail that there  are many
who will go to any length to attack the United States.

Jeffrey
S. Stephens is a native New Yorker now living in Greenwich, Connecticut,
with his wife, Nancy. They have two sons. For more information on

Going From Having It All To Having Nothing: A Journey Of Personal Awakening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Houston, TX –
The Sabbatical (Createspace), by Frederick Pinto, presents important
questions to a generation that wants to have it all despite living in a
rocky, continuously changing climate. Pinto weaves his own experiences
in the music industry and thoughts on where Western society is headed
into a story of personal awakening after a young man loses everything he
valued.

Charles Barca spent six years getting it all. Set in
the landscape of the drug-strewn, head-banging clubs and the slick
offices of the New Creative Elite, Charles was the wildly successful
owner of an online music company, had a relationship with a hot artist
girlfriend, and had achieved local celebrity status—all of which came
crashing down in one day. Before long, he is without friends, love, or
meaning in life after he is removed as the resident genius of the
company he himself founded, and seeks sanity and purpose in the cynical
worlds of modern art and business.

The Sabbatical covers the
following months of Charles’ life as he deals with self-loathing, drugs,
traveling and mingling with acquaintances, both old and new. He must
come face-to-face with major personal decisions as well as with ones for
his company, as papers need to be signed and major labels jostle for
his attention. However, he will only find clarity miles away in Brazil,
as the noise around him subsides and he engages in a more authentic form
of deeper self-evaluation.

Set in today’s post-apocalyptic
music industry, The Sabbatical is part existential diary, part
hedonistic travelogue, part music business intrigue, part anti-love
story, and has been said to “take the philosophical novel into the age
of social media.”

“The Sabbatical places a satirical lens on the
values Western society has gained and lost over the years, which
reflects the values of our entertainment industry,” says Pinto. “We’re
all the stars of our own show. The most meaningful question we can come
up with is what do I really want?”
Receiving rave reviews on
Amazon.com and on the blogosphere, the vivid characters and exceptional
story-telling in The Sabbatical make for an action-packed read that is
tough to put down. Please visit: www.thesabbaticalbook.com.

Frederick
Pinto has practiced, taught, published and lectured in the fields of
entertainment, music law, digital copyright and high-technology law. In
2007 and 2008, he was the columnist on digital music business issues for
Royalty Week, an industry-wide online publication, and has had numerous
articles published in law journals, magazines and newspapers.

Tribute To Musical Genius Also A Gift For The Troops

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ronnie Van
Zant, founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, died 35 years ago in an
airplane crash that shocked the nation. Now a book honoring Van Zant,
written by Ron Eckerman, will be given away in ebook format free to
members of the Armed Forces and veterans until Christmas.

“The
other day I was on a radio program that went out to our military and I
announced I’d give each and every one of them a free ebook for
Christmas,” Eckerman says. “I hope everybody will spread the word for
me. They’ll be able to order it from www.turnitupbook.com starting on Thanksgiving Day, formatted for their phone, laptop, ereader or tablet.”

“Sweet
Home Alabama,” written 40 years ago by Ronnie Van Zant, Ed King, and
Gary Rossington, is beloved of hundreds of millions of people throughout
the world, yet few know who wrote it. Ronnie Van Zant, lyricist, wrote
dozens of hits including “Free Bird,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Simple Man,”
and countless others in a career that spanned only four short years.

Ron
Eckerman was with them two of the four years Lynyrd Skynyrd was on the
map, and both witnessed and assisted in their climb to the top of the
music industry. Now, after 35 years of
silence, Eckerman recounts his
experiences with the band and the horror of the plane crash in his
book, Turn It Up! (Restless Artists).

“This book was a labor of
love. There was an important piece of music history missing, a
tremendous amount of misleading and false information out there… it
had to be cleared up,” Eckerman continues. “So I created a factual
manuscript that reveals the personalities and relationships of one of
the most iconic bands in music history – Lynyrd Skynyrd.”

Ron
Eckerman, born in Houston, TX, was a pioneer in the rock concert
industry. In 1973 he began staging concerts and created one of the early
concert lighting/touring production companies. Soon afterwards he
became tour manager for Lynyrd Skynyrd and began a two year stint with
the group, witnessing and participating in their meteoric rise to fame
and world-wide acclaim. After the tragic plane crash that ended the
original band, Mr. Eckerman has produced in film, television, and stage,
and has taught theater and artist management at Santa Monica College.

The
book is available in all ebook formats and can be read on any
electronic reading device. To order a copy, members of the military and
veterans can go to the website www.turnitupbook.com and follow the ordering instructions, beginning on Thanksgiving Day and lasting until Christmas Day.
